The sorority Delta Gamma will be hosting two fundraisers the week of October 10th. One fundraiser will be supporting Delta Gamma themselves, while the other will raise money for their philanthropy, Service for Sight.
The first fundraiser will be held Tuesday, October 11th. It will be held at Raising Cane’s on Rogers Avenue from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. As long as you mention the fundraiser or Delta Gamma themselves at checkout, 15% of your purchase will go to support Delta Gamma.
Thursday, October 13th, Delta Gamma will be holding their annual anchor bowl from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the intramural field. The anchor bowl is a 7 v. 7 flag football tournament. You can sign up to have a team by contacting Delta Gamma with the last day to sign up being this Sunday, October 9th. Each team member will be charged a fee of $10, which includes food as well as play time. Spectators are welcome, and it is $2 to enter and watch. All proceeds go towards Service for Sight.
When asked about Service for Sight, member Ashlyn Perry said “Service for Sight has been Delta Gamma’s philanthropy since 1936. Members of Delta Gamma every year strive to raise money to support our philanthropy, and this is very close to our hearts.” She went on to say that “our main goal is to raise money for OSB, Oklahoma School for the Blind.”
