Fort Smith Police Department reports spike in B&E calls, mostly unlocked vehicles.

Fort Smith has seen an outbreak of breaking and entering incidents, 51 such instances since September 20th. Targets are mostly unlocked vehicles.

In a release sent via email, the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) warned residents of a spike in breaking and entering calls. They believe that many of the incidents are related and stress the importance of locking your car anytime you are away.

FSPD is currently pursuing leads and has asked for help identifying suspects. Rewards of up to $1,000 can be given to tips submitted through the Fort Smith CrimeStoppers line at 78-CRIME. Detectives can be contacted at 479-709-5100.
