The Rock band Greta Van Fleet has released the first song of their new album following their “Dreams in Gold” tour.
The song “Meeting the Master” features the band's
signature Rock style along with influences of Psychedelia. The song is the first release in the band’s new album Starcatcher, which is set to be released on July 21st of this year according to the band’s Instagram post.
The band first debuted in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The members include Sam (bass/keyboard) and his twin brothers Jake (guitar) and Josh (vocals) Kiszka, along with Danny Wagner on the drums. Since the band formed they have won a Grammy for their album From the Fires for Best Rock Album 2019.
The band's Instagram post says this about the song; “Meeting the Master peers into an esoteric world heeded by the word of a wise teacher.” Greta Van Fleet has not released a new song since their previous album The Battle at Garden’s Gate which also inspired their Dreams in Gold tour. This album featured songs such as “Heat Above” (one of their most popular from the album), “Built By Nations”, and “The Age of Machine” to name a few.
While fans of Greta Van Fleet have only received a small portion of what’s to come of the new Starcatcher album, perhaps the release of “Meeting the Master” will make the wait a little easier.
