JCPenney is hosting a Suit-Up event on Sunday, October 9th from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. in order to help students sharpen up for their future career. The event will provide University of Arkansas - Fort Smith students, faculty, and alumni with deals of up to 50% off of professional attire.
UAFS organizations such as the Babb Center for Career Services seek to assist students in feeling confident and being dressed to impress for job interviews, and this event will do just that.
“[Suit-Up] includes shoes and accessories as well; it’s just a really cool opportunity to get clothing that you might need for an interview, internship, or a new job at a really good discount.” said Susan Krafft, executive director of the Babb Center for Career Services.
Students appreciate the university and host JCPenney for supporting their journey towards a future career after graduation, as well as for lessening the financial burden purchasing professional attire can be.
“Being in college, you have so many opportunities to meet professionals in the real world.. and having the right business wear can say a lot about you. As college students, we’re all broke right now, and Suit-Up is a really great way to get nice business wear that's new for a better price.” said senior Colby Creech.
Upon arrival, attendees will need to provide their student ID in order to receive the deals. Friends and family of current students, staff, and alumni are encouraged to attend as well, as long as they arrive with someone with a valid student ID.
