On Saturday, February 15th, Ashlynn Flute was crowned the 2025 University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Homecoming Queen. Being Homecoming Queen is much more than wearing a crown, and our new queen exemplifies that. Flute has a deep love for both Delta Gamma, who nominated her, as well as UAFS, and is excited to represent both this next year.
When asked what she was feeling when she was crowned she shared, “I was very excited and beyond happy that people see something in me that I feel like I fail to notice daily. So whoever is reading this, thank you!”
With her leadership and kindness, Flute has made a lasting impact on the organization of Delta Gamma, as well as the UAFS campus. She is thankful to not only the women who nominated her but the student body who voted for her.
Flute has been involved in many organizations within UAFS during her four years on campus. This includes Delta Gamma, Cub Camp, the Dental Hygiene program, etc. She discussed how it can be stressful trying to juggle everything that her education, social life, and campus life had to offer, but in the end, it is what made her four years at UAFS the most fulfilling.
For any students who might be struggling to get involved or find where they fit on campus, Flute shares this, “I want anyone who reads this to know, just sign up, sign up for that thing, and follow through with it. You never know who you will meet or what opportunity it will lead to in the future. And ALWAYS GO LIONS!”
