UAFS Theatre Production,'Hartseer', Open Auditions

FORT SMITH, Arkansas – Auditions for ‘Heartseer’ open on Saturday, September 17th 2022 from 7:00-9:30pm in the Breedlove Auditorium on campus. The auditions are open to anyone of any experience and there is no preparation needed except to show up in comfortable clothing to move around in. There will be a role will be given to anyone who comes to audition and wishes to be part of the production.

‘Hartseer’ is a student and alumni-created production that has an overall theme of grief and explores the effects it has on someone experiencing it, others’ reaction to someone grieving, and coming out on the other side.

“Being a devised piece, the outline of the show is built around some brainstorming sessions we had with students this summer, incorporating their ideas and thoughts, and it will continue to grow across the rehearsal process,” says co-director Cody Banning. He also hinted at a teaser trailer for the production that will be coming out next week to give everyone an idea of what to expect.

Rehearsals will run for around 5 weeks and will be shown for the public on November 16-19th. All performances will be at 7:00pm with a 3:00pm matinee on the 19th. UAFS students and faculty can get in for free, and $10 for the general public.
